Comparison
A Hootsuite alternative for one person
Hootsuite is built for marketing departments: approvals, a shared inbox, analytics, many users. If you need that, the price is fine. If you work alone and simply want something to appear every day, you are paying for machinery you never open.
A command centre for teams — or a machine for you alone.
Hootsuite starts at 99 $ per user per month, on annual billing. Kosmopost costs €22.60 per project incl. VAT and does considerably less for it.
All figures on Hootsuite checked on 23 August 2026 at hootsuite.com/de/tarife, the German pricing page. If you find a discrepancy, write to hello@kosmopost.ai — I will correct it.
The short answer
If you only have ten seconds
Hootsuite starts at 99 $ a month for the Standard tier with 10 accounts — and that is per user and based on annual billing. Professional costs 199 $, Advanced 399 $. Even on the German pricing page the amounts are quoted in US dollars.
Kosmopost costs €22.60 a month for one project with all of its channels, €46.40 for three projects, €105.90 for ten. Incl. 19 % German VAT (€18.99 · €38.99 · €88.99 net), in euros, with a German invoice.
The honest difference: these are not two prices for the same thing. Hootsuite is a command centre for teams — analytics, a shared inbox, approval chains. Kosmopost can do none of that. It does one thing: make sure your projects are visible every day without you having to think about it. The question is not which is better, but which one you need right now.

Four numbers
that carry the difference
Two of Hootsuite's numbers are easy to read past and can double the amount: the prices apply per user and assume annual billing.

is the entry point at Hootsuite. Per user, on annual billing, with 10 accounts.
Add a second person who only needs to approve things and the amount doubles.

The real difference
Command centre or machine
Hootsuite is a command centre. It shows you everything: what was published, how it did, who replied, who still has to approve. That is exactly right when several people work on the same brand and somebody wants numbers at the end of the month.
Kosmopost is a machine. You describe once how your brand sounds — seven questions in plain sentences, the project brain. You fill a stock in one afternoon. After that a post appears every day, at a sensible hour, without you thinking about it. When the stock runs low, it says so before things go quiet.
Clients push, invoices push, Instagram does not — which is why it is the first thing to fall off.
How it runs
Set it up once,
then five steps without you
The effort moves from “every day” to “once a month”. That is the whole trick, and it is not a technical one.
- 01 Fill the brain Seven questions per brand: how it sounds, who it is for, which images fit, what must never be claimed. Once, and changeable at any time afterwards.
- 02 Connect the channels Instagram and Facebook, once. If an access token expires later, Kosmopost renews it itself — that is precisely where most self-built setups fail.
- 03 Fill the stock In one afternoon, instead of spread across 26 evenings. Images and texts, in the order you want them to appear.
- 04 Sit back One post goes out every day, at a sensible hour. A minimum gap between two publications, never two projects at the same moment, no blind retry after a failure. None of these brakes would exist if Meta had not cut all four of my channels on 4 August 2026.
- 05 Refill in good time When the stock runs low, Kosmopost tells you — before it goes quiet, not afterwards.
From the inside
No command centre.
On purpose.
Three shots from the app that has been steering my own brands since late July. What you do not see here is intended: no charts, no inbox, no approval chain. The interface you see is German.

The decision
Which of the two
fits you?
Hootsuite is not a worse tool, it is a different one. So, both directions:
Take Kosmopost if …
- … you work alone or as a pair and nobody needs approval chains.
- … you have several projects of your own that should each sound like themselves.
- … posting is not your actual business, which is why it gets left undone.
- … you want a German invoice in euros and your data held in Germany.
- … 99 $ per user for “one post a day” is too much for you.
Stay with Hootsuite if …
- … several people work on the same brand and have to coordinate.
- … you need analytics and reports — for yourself or for clients.
- … comments and messages should land in a shared inbox.
- … you run many networks at the same time.
No sugar-coating
What Kosmopost
cannot do today
- It is young. Open since 15 September 2026. Before that, Kosmopost ran daily for my own brands since late July — more than 60 posts, but no outside customers yet.
- No analytics, no inbox, no approval chains. That is the core of Hootsuite. Kosmopost has none of it.
- Two channels. Instagram and Facebook. TikTok and LinkedIn are planned.
- No text generator. The writing is done by you, or by the AI tool of your choice, which you let read your project brain.
- One person, not a corporation. Support is me.
Frequently asked
What people want to know first
If your question is missing, send it to hello@kosmopost.ai — it will end up here.
What does Hootsuite really cost per month?
As at 23 August 2026 the pricing page quotes an entry point of 99 $ for Standard, 199 $ for Professional and 399 $ for Advanced. Two things sit in the small print: the amounts apply per user, and they assume annual billing. Pay monthly and you pay more; how much more is not stated there.
Why is Kosmopost so much cheaper?
Because it does far less. Kosmopost has no analytics, no shared inbox, no approval chains and no permission management for teams. It does one thing: make sure your projects are visible every day. If you need the other things, Hootsuite is not too expensive — Kosmopost is simply the wrong tool.
Is there a German-language alternative to Hootsuite?
Yes, several. Kosmopost is one of them, with servers in Frankfurt am Main and a German invoice in euros. The difference that matters is the cut of the thing: Kosmopost is meant for self-employed people with one or several projects of their own, not for marketing teams.
Can I use Kosmopost for clients?
The Pro tier with ten projects is meant exactly for that — €105.90 a month incl. VAT (€88.99 net), so €10.59 per project. What Kosmopost does not bring along today are approval roles and client reports. If your clients expect monthly reports, you will still need a second tool for that.
How quickly can I switch?
Right away — Kosmopost is open, 30 days free. You answer the seven questions of your project brain, connect Instagram and Facebook and fill the stock. The first post can appear the same day. Your existing posts stay where they are — switching changes nothing about that.
What happens after the 30 trial days?
It stops. It does not renew itself, and during the trial I do not even ask for a card or bank details. If you want to carry on, you say so actively — otherwise nothing happens.
